Xiaomi Mi11Ultra is real — and can launch real soon

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is already an impressive Android alternative to Samsung's Galaxy S21 series. But what if you are looking for even more performance and features?

New leaks have confirmed the existence of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the Chinese company's competitor of the same name to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. While previous leaks have depicted a phone with unique features, this latest rumor suggests a more likely launch in the UK.

This is all thanks to the new Xiaomi handset being certified in Indonesia by both the Ministry of Communications and Information (found by PriceBaba) and the Ministry of Industry; while Xiaomi has yet to enter the U.S., the certification outside of China is This is encouraging news.

The listing on the certification page lists the model number M2102K1G. This matches the number seen in previous leaks of the Mi 11 Ultra, which is why this listing identifies it as an Ultra.

Xiaomi has released basic and "Pro" versions of its Mi devices over the past few years. Last year, it introduced the Mi 10 Ultra as its new top-of-the-line model. Sadly for those looking for an alternative to Samsung, OnePlus, and others, the Mi 10 Ultra was only available in Xiaomi's home country of China.

It remains to be seen if there will be a Pro model of the Mi 11 or just the Ultra. Either way, the Mi 11's already impressive specs will likely be enhanced with features that rival the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

This will include the same 6.8-inch QHD display and Snapdragon 888 chipset as the Mi 11, but will add a larger 5,000 mAh battery, faster 67W charging (both wired and wireless), and IP68 water resistance.

As for cameras, Xiaomi is likely to include a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48MP telephoto camera with up to 120x zoom on the back. There will also be one 20MP sensor on the front.

However, it is the secondary display on the back that is considered the Mi 11 Ultra's most notable feature. This mirrors the primary display on the front and is apparently intended to help people pose themselves in pictures.

With such unique features, the Mi 11 Ultra has a good chance of becoming one of our best Android phones. However, it would first have to be sold on this side of the pond before we would consider giving it that honor.
