The OnePlus9 leak reveals the names of all 3 new models, including OnePlus9E

The launch of the OnePlus 9 series is fast approaching, with the first details to be announced on March 8. However, the latest leaked information steals some of the company's thunder by revealing the exact name of the upcoming handset.

The information comes from Spigen (via MySmartPrice), a well-known smartphone case manufacturer: the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9E.

The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are not surprising at all; they follow the same naming convention that OnePlus has been using since the OnePlus 7 series launched in 2019; the OnePlus 9E is not, and OnePlus has been using the same naming convention since the flagship smartphone's because this is the first time it has launched a "lite" version of its flagship smartphone.

Rumor has it that the budget device also has several different names, including OnePlus 9 Lite, OnePlus 9R, and OnePlus 9E.

Of course, the listing on Spigen's website is not a solid confirmation that the phone will definitely be called the OnePlus 9E. Case makers have been known to rely on rumors and leaks in the past, and OnePlus 9E is a name that has been circulating the Internet recently that may explain its appearance.

And also, Spigen may have information we don't know about - something that came directly from OnePlus to make cases and accessories available at the phone's launch.

OnePlus may have taken inspiration from Apple and Samsung. Samsung's Galaxy S10e is a cheaper version of the Galaxy S10, and the iPhone SE is still one of the best budget phones available.

From what we have heard, the OnePlus 9E has a 6.5-inch full HD display with a refresh rate set at 90 Hz. Other specs are unknown. The latest leaks suggest that it will be powered by the lower-end Snapdragon 690 chipset.

That recent leak also claimed that the phone will feature 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 5,000 mAH battery, and a 64 megapixel camera. Unfortunately, we have not heard many other rumors about this phone. However, these specs are solid and make sense when compared to what we know about the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.

These phones have a Snapdragon 888 chipset, 120Hz refresh rate, 8-12GB RAM, 128-256GB storage, 4,500mAh battery, 65W fast charging, 16MP front camera, 48MP main lens and triple-lens rear camera with an ultra-wide lens; the OnePlus 9 will have a 5MP macro lens and the 9 Pro will have an 8MP telephoto lens.

Additionally, the OnePlus 9 Pro is said to benefit from a camera partnership with premium brand Hasselblad, but what this means for the phone remains to be seen.

Naturally, both models will be different sizes: the OnePlus 9 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch FHD display, while the 9 Pro will have a 6.7-inch QHD display The Pro model should also feature 30W wireless charging.
