OnePlus10Pro finally reveals: Specifications, photo samples, Release Information

The OnePlus 10 Pro has been fully announced. It's still a little ways away from being available for purchase, and it will be some time before we can test and review it. But OnePlus' new flagship is brimming with enviable specs and should be one of the top phones of the year.

OnePlus has been unveiling its latest flagship models in bits and pieces over the past week. First we got a peek at the phone's design, then we heard about the specs, and finally we got details about the camera. Now we have a more complete picture, with the phone set to go on sale in China this Thursday (January 13).

Here's what you need to know about the key elements of the OnePlus 10 Pro.

As you can see from the images at the top and bottom of this page, OnePlus has done a pretty major redesign of its flagship phone. On the back of the phone, there is a camera block integrated with the phone's side rails, comparable to Samsung's Galaxy S21 series.

The OnePlus 10 Pro comes in two color options: Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest, a sort of mint green.

OnePlus continues its partnership with Swedish camera manufacturer Hasselblad. As a result, the OnePlus 10 Pro's camera system has been reworked again.

As already known, the OnePlus 10 Pro's lenses are the same 48MP main, 50MP ultra-wide, and 8MP telephoto sensors as the OnePlus 9 Pro, and the new model no longer has a dedicated monochrome sensor. Changes since last year include a 150-degree field of view for the ultrawide camera, enhanced color processing, and the ability to shoot in RAW for more powerful editing.

A new addition to the camera system not previously announced is the Hasselblad Master style. This provides three presets for the camera system designed by professional photographers: Hasselblad Ambassador Yin Chao and Hasselblad Masters winners Ben Thomas and David Peskens. of Peskens and Chao's styles. Samples of Peskens' and Chao's styles can be seen in the images here.

The OnePlus 10 Pro's display looks to be one of the best phones of the year: a 6.7-inch QHD+ panel with LTPO 2.0, a technology that allows variable refresh rates between 1Hz and 120Hz.

The OnePlus 10 Pro's display also offers dual color calibration, allowing for accurate color at both high and low screen brightness.

Keeping the OnePlus 10 Pro powered up is another of its key capabilities: 80W SuperVOOC Flash Charge is a technology developed by Oppo, the Chinese phone manufacturer that OnePlus merged with last year. This new charging setup works with a 5,000 mAh power pack, the largest battery ever in a OnePlus phone.

According to OnePlus' official announcement, a depleted OnePlus 10 Pro will return to 100% in 32 minutes. But perhaps most importantly, unlike Samsung's and Apple's new phones, the charging brick is included in the box.

It also supports 50W wireless charging, which takes 47 minutes to fully charge. However, it will likely require OnePlus' own charging stand, which is not included in the box.

Powering the OnePlus 10 Pro is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Qualcomm's latest chipset that we expect to see in many major Android phones this year. Backing up this chip is up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phones will have up to 12 GB of memory.

Currently, the OnePlus 10 Pro ships with ColorOS as its operating system for customers in China. However, when it ships in other parts of the world, it will be available with OxygenOS. However, the software is still based on ColorOS, which is very different from previous OnePlus phones that used the proprietary OxygenOS Android skin.

The phone is shipping in China on January 13, but we still have no idea when it will come to the U.S. or U.K. OnePlus has said the phone will arrive later this year. Rumors suggest a March or April release.

We are also waiting to hear the phone's price in China, hoping to give some idea of the OnePlus 10 Pro's price in other markets.

It will be some time before we actually test the OnePlus 10 Pro, but like the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro before it, it may be a candidate for the Best Android Phone Guide, and possibly the Best Phone Guide. OnePlus, however, faces stiff competition, with the iPhone 13 series and the Google Pixel 6 already ranked at the top of the list.
