Samsung Galaxy S22 release date Leak — Here is when the phone can start

If new reports from South Korea are to be believed, at least the launch date plans for the Samsung Galaxy S22 appear to be solidifying. And based on the planned schedule, Samsung's latest flagship could be in our hands as early as six weeks from now.

This is the word from the Korean publication Digital Daily, which claims that sources inside Samsung have revealed the handset maker's plans for rolling out the Galaxy S22. According to the report, Samsung's next Unpacked event will be held on February 8, at which time the Galaxy S22 will debut. Reservations will begin the following day, February 9.

Digital Daily reports that users will receive it on February 24, a little over two weeks after its unveiling at the rumored Unpacked event.

Samsung has yet to announce official plans for the Unpacked event, and a company spokesperson declined to comment on the Digital Daily report.

This new report is not that different from what we previously heard about the Galaxy S22 release date. Some sources claim that the event will take place on February 9 rather than a day earlier, but everyone seems to agree on early February as the most likely time for Samsung's next product event.

If it does appear, the Galaxy S22 is expected to come in three different models: the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus are rumored to have smaller screens than the Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is rumored to be a Samsung Galaxy Note The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset should drive all three phones in the line to get the camera improvements.

Samsung has just announced the Galaxy S21 FE, but this announcement will not change plans for the Galaxy S22; if the February 8 launch date is accurate, we can expect further details from Samsung about a week before the event itself.
