Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra surprise camera upgrade just leaked

Update: A new unofficial video reveals the designs of all three Samsung Galaxy S22 models.

While the Galaxy S21 FE has proven to be mediocre, the upcoming Galaxy S22 family has caught our attention. Of the three rumored models, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the most eye-catching. However, new leaks have revealed what we might expect from Samsung's next top device.

The leaked spec sheet (courtesy of XEETECHCARE) shows that it is named Super Clear Lens and relates only to the 108MP main camera. This means that the super wide-angle and telephoto lenses will probably not have this Super Clear Lens feature.

Super clear lens means Gorilla Glass in the main lens, which may reduce glare and reflections. This would, in theory, help make your photos sharper, even in more challenging situations. It also makes sense that Samsung would include software to further reduce reflections in the final image.

The graphic provided by the leaker appears to confirm camera specs, storage, memory, and battery, but does not list much else. The Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 108MP (f/1.8) main camera, 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide, 10MP (f/2.4) telephoto (3x optical zoom), and 10MP (f/4.9) telephoto (10x optical zoom), consistent with rumors. The front camera is expected to be a 40MP shooter.

The spec sheet, although incomplete, lists the CPU as a 4nm Exynos 2200, meaning that this graphic is probably for the Galaxy S22 Ultra overseas.

Storage will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB and appears to be paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The battery is also likely to be the same as last year's Galaxy S21 Ultra, at 5,000mAh.

Finally, the leaked information shows an S Pen, which looks eerily similar to the one that came with the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. It has a plunger on the tip that can be secured or detached from the phone. This is consistent with other rumors that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be more Note than S.

According to other rumors, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 6.81-inch Super AMOLED QHD+ display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate It is said to be equipped with a According to recent rumors, the Ultra's maximum brightness will be 1,750 nits, surpassing even the iPhone 13 Pro Max's 1,000 nits.
