2022 may be Apple's first year in a while for new products as the company gears up to release a slew of devices, and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman breaks down everything we can expect from Apple in 2022, including a new look for the iPhone 14, "the biggest MacBook Air ever redesign" and a breakdown of everything we can expect from Apple in 2022. As we have heard before, Garman reiterates in this report that the iPhone 14 will feature a "hole punch-sized notch." Other rumors have pointed out that only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will abandon the current notch in favor of a punch hole, but it is certainly possible that all models will use this feature.

Other iPhone 14 leaks point to a faster A16 Bionic chip, a new 48MP main camera sensor, and possibly Touch ID. iPhone 14's biggest rumor is that Apple will discontinue the 5.4-inch mini design and introduce a new 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max.

Before the iPhone 14, Garman expects a new 5G version of the iPhone SE to arrive in the first half of this year. For now, we call this the iPhone SE 3. Unfortunately, there are rumors that Apple may stick with the same 4.7-inch design.

The most activity for Apple in 2022 seems to be focused on the Mac, with Garman discussing four new models this year. These include a smaller Mac Pro with up to 40 CPU cores and 128 graphics cores, a new Mac mini, and a large-screen iMac Pro that may be the rumored iMac 27-inch.

As for the MacBook, Garman said to expect "the biggest MacBook Air redesign in product history." According to previous reports, the new MacBook Air 2022 is expected to feature a new M2 chip and a sleeker design with slimmer bezels, new color options, and the possibility of a notched display.

And while the new MacBook Pro 14-inch is very impressive, with prices starting at $1,999, Gurman and others predict that Apple is working on a new, more entry-level MacBook Pro 2022. We expect this device to also feature an M2 chip and perhaps the same enhanced port selection as the 14-inch model.

The iPad Pro is already a beast with the M1 chip, but Garman predicts that Apple is working on an iPad Pro 2022 with wireless charging support. He previously reported that Apple is testing a MagSafe system for the iPad Pro, but it will not replace Thunderbolt/USB-C. Apple is also reportedly testing reverse wireless charging, which would allow users to charge iPhones and other gadgets on the back of the new tablet.

The Apple Watch 7 is the best smartwatch thanks to its large display, but Apple has not pushed the envelope with health features or other upgrades over the past year: updated versions of the Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch 8, and " a ruggedized version of the new Apple Watch "for extreme sports enthusiasts.

Apple expects to launch "the first virtual reality headset (with some AR features)" in 2022, Garman said. And it will be accompanied by a new rOS, codenamed Oak. According to Apple analyst Mini Chikuo, Apple's new VR and mixed reality headset will feature Apple Silicon, hand gesture control, and object detection. 21]
