Kansas City's defense has been the more dominant force in the season turnaround, but Mahomes has finally regained his MVP form. In the last three games, Mahomes has thrown eight touchdown passes and just one interception. He has also managed to post a passer rating of at least 105 in three straight games, compared to just four such games through the team's first 12 games.

The Bengals (9-6) got exactly what they needed last week; a blowout win against a division opponent that gave them some breathing room over the AFC North. Joe Burrow passed for a franchise-record 525 yards and four touchdowns while completing 37 of 46 passes; the 24th time in NFL history he's gone over 500 yards; that's up there for a 25-year-old.

Wide receivers Tee Higgins and Jamar Chase and running back Joe Mixon were part of the Cincinnati onslaught. Higgins caught 12 passes for 194 yards and two scores, and Chase caught seven passes for 125 yards. Mixon piled up 135 yards of total offense with rushing and receiving touchdowns.

The Chiefs are currently 5.5-point favorites against the Bengals. The over/under is 51.5.
