Champion tennis player Venus Williams will unveil a new mattress collection this week with American sleep specialist Ghost Bed. Dubbed the "Venus Williams Legend," the mattresses will be available in memory foam and hybrid options, with prices starting at around $2,000 (exact pricing to be determined).

Venus, of course, needs little introduction. As one of the greatest tennis players of all time, she has continued to push the boundaries of athleticism and incredible physical prowess. As Venus told GhostBed, "Practice is natural, but the real power is in recovery. That's why sleep is so important to me." In an exclusive interview with Tom's Guide, we asked Mark Warner how the collaboration with Venus came about and what to expect from the Venus Williams Legend Mattress Collection, which will hit virtual shelves in a few days. Venus lives near our headquarters in Plantation, Florida, and we started talking a while back. We connected on a personal level about the importance of sleep and family, and we hit it off from day one."

"It made sense to combine Ghost Bed's expertise in mattresses and bedding with her experience in sports and design. Our first product, the Venus Williams Legend, is a truly luxurious mattress that combines our usual emphasis on coolness and comfort with some really great new technology"

"Each mattress features Venus Layers, but we also focus on comfort, cooling, and quality, which are the hallmarks of Ghost Beds. We find the best materials to use and know that every detail matters. [Sustainability is important to me and to Venus.

"The hybrid option has these two layers, but we added individually wound springs for a more responsive feel. Many people like this hybrid feel, or maybe they are used to sleeping on a spring mattress.
