Apple Stores are making it easier than ever to buy last-minute Christmas gifts; the Apple Store has announced that it will offer free two-hour delivery in select cities through Friday, December 24. Apple normally charges $9 for two-hour delivery.

This delivery option is available for most items in stock. However, certain products, such as customized Mac computers and engraved products, are not eligible. Last Christmas, Apple reduced the price of 2-hour delivery to $5.

To get same-day delivery from Apple, you must order products that are in stock at your local Apple Store. A quick look at Apple's online store shows that they have a fairly wide range of products in stock at this time. Here in the New York metropolitan area, one can order products such as the iPhone 13, AirPods Pro, and Apple Watch Series 7 from Apple's website on the same day.

Popular Apple products were difficult to find in stock for most of the holiday season. The iPad 2021, for example, was almost always out of stock during November and early December. As we get closer to the Christmas 2021 shipping deadline, it may become more difficult to find Apple gear from authorized retailers.

However, the last day to purchase most Apple hardware and have it shipped before Christmas is December 22. (Same-day delivery is also available in some cities for in-stock items.) According to a list on Apple's website, the deadline for ordering products is even closer.
