Are you ready to say "whoa" when you watch "Matrix 4" online? Yes, folks, it's time to see Keanu once again don the sweep jacket and go on a mission in "The Matrix". The film appears to take place after the truce between humanity and the system, where the promise made to the Oracle at the end of "The Matrix Revolutions" may not have been fulfilled.

However, the early reactions to "Matrix 4" contain annotations that are well explained in the film and need not be remembered. So it is up to you to actually watch "Matrix Resurrections".

In "The Matrix 4," Neo is once again involved in the war between humanity and the Matrix. Neo and Trinity have no memory of each other and appear to be living a peaceful life in San Francisco.

But then a new Morpheus appears and takes a red pill - to counter the blue pill Neo had received from his therapist (played by Neil Patrick Harris). The next thing you know, explosions are going off all over the place and Neo and the new Morpheus are back at the dojo.

And about that new Morpheus. While Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss return as Neo and Trinity, Morpheus, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The absence of Laurence Fishburne? Laurence Fishburne's absence has not yet been explained, and we are hoping that there is a story reason for his absence rather than a disagreement with director Lana Woschowski. Fishburne says she doesn't have an answer as to why he won't be back, but she does.

Oh, and Smith (formerly Agent Smith) is not Hugo Weaving. He is now played by Jonathan Groff. Confused? There is a guide to the entire trilogy of Matrix films.

In the US, "The Matrix Resurrection" is now streaming on HBO Max. The film became available on December 22, the same day it was released in theaters.
