Boba Fett Leak Book Teases 2 Big Star Wars cameos

In a galaxy far, far away, everything is connected. So it should come as no surprise that familiar faces from the Star Wars universe may appear in "The Book of Boba Fett," which premieres later this month on Disney Plus. But according to one rumor, a particularly beloved face (and perhaps another) may make a cameo appearance.

So, below, please beware of spoilers for "The Book of Boba Fett."

According to Star Wars News Net, the upcoming series follows iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and his mercenary partner Fenech Shand (Ming Na Wen) as they take over Jabba the Hutt's crime syndicate on Tatooine, A fan-favorite character may appear in the series.

Fett made a surprise return in "The Mandalorian" Season 2 after his death in "Return of the Jedi" was faked. They teamed up to help the mortally wounded Shand and to track down Din Jarin in order to retrieve Fett's armor. In return, they helped Jarin protect and rescue Grog (aka Baby Yoda) from the nefarious Moff Gideon.

The Mandalorian Season 2 finale ended with a teaser of Fett and Shand returning to Tatooine and taking over the territory once controlled by Jabba.

Fans immediately began speculating about pre-existing Star Wars characters that might appear in the story. Of course, Din Jarin was the first of these. However, it appears that another Mandalorian favorite, Grog, may make an appearance!

The last time we saw this adorable little green creature, he had left his adoptive father to train with none other than Luke Skywalker. Grog's future in Mandalorian Season 3 is unknown.

However, Star Wars News Net has learned that Grogu is featured on crew merchandise for The Book of Boba Fett." The site notes that "this crew merchandise is usually produced in small quantities and is for special people involved in the project.

And other sources confirmed this speculation, leading SWNN to note, "Surely we will get a glimpse of the Glog in The Book of Boba Fett."

And blogger Jordan Maison tweeted that Groog may not be the only big cameo.

Given that Grog is currently with Luke Skywalker, the Jedi will make an appearance. He grew up on Tatooine! However, the way Maison put it makes one wonder if Grog is "hanging out" with another Jedi.

Of course, we take these rumors with a grain of salt. We'll see what happens when The Book of Boba Fett is released on December 29. Until then, you can prepare by watching the Star Wars movies in order, the Disney Plus series, or "Grey's Anatomy" Season 18 Episode 8, which debuts Thursday (December 16).
