Even though both iOS 15 and iPhone 13 have only been on the market for a few months, that hasn't stopped fans from getting excited about concept renderings of iPhone 14 and iOS 16. This latest concept video gives an impressive overview of Apple's upcoming mobile operating system.

First noticed by BGR, YouTube channel the Hacker 34 has released an iOS 16 concept video that brings many interesting ideas to Apple's ecosystem.

The main theme of the video is better usability and interactivity without the need to open multiple apps. They imagine that users will be able to accomplish many basic tasks, such as checking off a list, via a widget.

Multitasking is another key concept pushed out in the video. Some of the multitasking features are directly from Samsung, such as the edge panel for quickly calling up apps. Just as users open apps on Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 3 to compare them side-by-side, this concept video imagines a system where Apple users can also sideswipe and drag apps to the main screen. That way, two apps can be kept open at the same time.

If Apple really intends to make an iPhone Flip, some of these multitasking ideas should definitely be considered. However, fans may have to wait a while, as recent reports indicate that Apple's foldable may not appear until 2023 at the earliest.

This iOS 16 concept also imagines that users will be able to buy and sell crypto through Apple Wallet. This may be wishful thinking, as Apple tends to be cautious before jumping on the latest fad. CEO Tim Cook has stated that crypto is "something we are looking at,"

but that there are no immediate plans to announce anything related to crypto.

In any case, Apple typically releases public beta access to the next version of iOS after WWDC. This year's WWDC was held in early June. This means that the first public release of iOS 16 will be in the summer of 2022.
