Tesla Cyber Truck with Big wipers Hilariously revealed in new video

Tesla isn't hiding much when it comes to the CyberTruck. Not only was the CyberTruck on display when it was unveiled, but CEO Elon Musk can't seem to stop talking about this strange looking car.

But things change all the time, and the Cybertruck is no exception. In fact, a redesigned version was recently spotted on the test track at Tesla's Fremont plant. While the overall design is nearly identical to what we were promised, there are still some obvious changes.

Thanks to a drone flight from Chile Al100, there is a video of the electric pickup in action. Sorry about the music; it's not as good as it could have been.

As usual, Mask is tweeting about these changes in response to people's comments. And it seems many people have an opinion on the changes, especially the giant solo wiper.

Most cars have dual wiper systems, but in typical Tesla style, automakers seem to have chosen to go their own way.

Fortunately, Elon Musk claims that this is the part that "bothers" him the most about the current design, not the production windshield wipers.

Tesla has applied for a patent for some sort of electromagnetic wiper system, but the one shown in the video is a conventional swivel system. Euron also appears willing to entertain requests for a laser wiper system, although this may be impractical.

In this new prototype, the side mirrors of the cybertruck can also be clearly seen. Elon Musk has long been opposed to side mirrors, reportedly preferring camera-based systems that do not stick out from the sides of the car.

Unfortunately for Musk, manufacturers in the U.S. are legally required to ship vehicles with side mirrors, although laws regarding side mirrors vary from state to state.

For example, in Idaho, one can drive without side mirrors as long as the rear-view mirror in the vehicle is unobstructed. Iowa and California, on the other hand, require the driver's side mirror and at least one other mirror, such as a rearview or passenger-side mirror. In any event, Mask claims that the side mirrors on the Cybertruck can be easily removed.

As for the color scheme of the Cyber Truck, despite rumors that black might be available, Elon Musk called his inner Henry Ford and confirmed that it would not be.

If you want a different finish than the standard polished steel, Musk says you'll have to opt for a third-party wrapping.

But aside from the wipers and side mirrors, the cybertruck looks as flat and blocky as ever, so anyone who wants to drive an asset from a 90s cyberpunk video game can do so.

At least, that will be the case once these trucks actually arrive. The first models were slated to roll off the production lanes later this year and be ready for widespread rollout in 2022. However, thanks to various challenges in bringing the vehicles to market, this has now been delayed until late 2022.

These challenges include the production of the pickup's steel exoskeleton frame. Global supply chain issues surrounding shortages of chips and other electronic components may also play a role in the delays.

On the plus side, the delay has given Tesla time to prepare the new quad motor variant, which is now the first to arrive. Previously, the flagship Cybertruck model had only three motors, and that model offered the best range and acceleration.

Unfortunately, it is not yet clear what the specifications of the quad-motor model will be. In any case, we will report back as soon as we have more concrete information.
