LG's OLED TVs now have access to Google Stadia. And that may provide a compelling reason for many to finally try Google's streaming gaming service.

Google Stadia is far from a huge success, despite Google's massive influence, resources, and cloud platform. However, perhaps helped by the fact that it had to compete with the value and feature set of Xbox Game Pass, Stadia was a poor seller from the moment it was released.

However, adding Stadia to the best TVs currently available could be the coup needed for streaming game services.

Integrating Stadia, or any other streaming service, into a smart TV is nothing new. All Android TV-based sets can run Stadia by default. But there is more to this LG OLED news than meets the eye. Stadia support is simply a matter of connecting a controller (PS4 and Xbox One controllers are supported) to the TV and using the Stadia app. This means that LG's OLED TVs add another gaming feather to their already extensive feature cap.

With a speedy Internet connection, the ability to simply run Stadia on a killer OLED TV could make the service ultimately attractive. Nearly 200 games can be played, including hits like Resident Evil Village, Assassin's Creed, Hitman 3, Assassin's Creed, and Valhalla: Even without a PS5 or Xbox Series X, "Resident Evil 7: Resident Evil.
