The cast of yesteryear, including Laura Dern and Sam Neill, as well as recent additions like Jake Johnson and Omar Sy, will return to tour the islands once again.

And since this chapter feels so complete, one might think it is the end of the mainline film. It is not. According to speculation, a "Jurassic World 4" is in the works. There are also rumors that "Jurassic World" and "Wild Speed" will crossover.

The film's prologue (essentially the first trailer) takes us back to where it all began for the dinosaurs, with an Imax exclusive release in November 2021. Drinking in the river, soaring overhead, and all the rest of the action took place in peace at first.

The clip even includes the movement of an old favorite bug we have never seen before, likely to be buried in amber resin.

The poster for "Jurassic World: Dominion" revolves around the key phrase "It All Started Here" and depicts a mosquito that would later play a key role in the opening of the original "Jurassic Park. The mosquito appears to be draining blood from a dinosaur, presumably the T. rex whose blood was used.

Director Colin Trevorrow has stated that "Jurassic World" is actually "the culmination of six films." This makes a lot of sense, given the cast below and the scale indicated by the trailer and poster tagline.

Otherwise, the film's plot is kept secret and tightly guarded. Trevorrow has released an image of a small dino, captioned "Feathers," that gives a tiny peek into what is to come.

This is going to be a family affair. Of course, the cast begins with Chris Pratt, who played the main character Owen Grady in the previous two Jurassic World films. Grady is a Navy veteran and ethicist who also dealt with velociraptors in Jurassic World.

Alongside him, Bryce Dallas Howard reprises her role as Claire Dearing, the former operations manager in Jurassic World. She later became an activist for dinosaur rights and founded the Dinosaur Conservation Group.

Elsewhere, BD Wong returns as series regular Henry Wu, a geneticist who worked on both "Jurassic World" and the original "Jurassic Park". Justice Smith also returns as IT specialist Franklin Webb, and Daniela Pineda will play Gia Rodriguez, a former Marine who works for a dinosaur conservation group.

The cast does not end there. Jeff Goldblum is one of them, as he has already reprised his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, this time with series He is joined this time by series veterans Laura Dern and Sam Neill.

Trevorrow said he had help from some of the returning cast members in figuring out their characters, telling EW: "I've had a lot of help from the cast. Ellie Sattler has a lot to say about the current world situation, and so does Laura Dern. We wanted to reflect that and make sure it wasn't just superficial."

Also returning are "Jurassic World" co-stars Jake Johnson (Rory Klathers) and Omar Sy (Barry).
