Cretton will also be working on an MCU series for Disney+, but there is no word on what that will be or if it will be one of the upcoming Marvel shows that have already been announced or rumored.

There is currently no indication as to when Shang-Chi 2 will be released, but we have to guess late 2023 or, more likely, mid-2024. Creton will join "Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" in 2019, and the film was originally scheduled to appear in February 2021.

However, due to Covid 19-related delays, Shang Qi would not be released theatrically until September 2021; on November 12 (Disney Plus Day), Shang Qi and the Legend of the Ten Rings appeared on Disney Plus. [This is because the film would not be possible without "Shaun," as Shu Shan-chi himself or Katie's family knows him.

Speaking of which, Akwafina is very likely to return as Katie, Shang-Chi's best friend who fought alongside him in the film. I expect she will spend a lot of time with the bow and arrow in this film. It would be great if Kate Bishop could make a cameo and Katie could shoot arrows alongside the Hawkeye star, but there is no word on Hailee Steinfeld making a cameo.

And at the end of Shang-Chi, Zhang Meng'er is expected to return as Xu Xiaolin, the new leader of the Ten Rings (who is also Shang-Chi's sister).

In a deleted scene, he encourages Katie to fight before she sacrifices herself to get the bow she will use to attack the Dark Dwellers.

Finally, there was also the expected appearance of Michelle Yeoh, who survived the attack by Ying Nan and led the tribute to those who died.

Trevor Slattery, played by Ben Kingsley, survived Yin Nan and the legend of the Ten Rings.

Of course, Tony Leung (who played Shang Ci's father, Xiu Wen Wu) died in the first film and can only appear in flashback sequences. Farrah Cheng, who played Shang Ying's mother Ying Li, would also only be possible in flashbacks.

As for what will happen in Shang Qi 2. Leaked information has not yet been revealed, but looking at "Shang-Qi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," we have an idea of how the sequel will play out. First, if we were to guess from the end credits scene in "Shang-Qi," it is possible that Doctor Strange from "The Multiverse of Madness" will appear as Wong, who teleported to Shang-Qi and Katie's night out. One aspect of Shang Ki's first film left unexplored in the movie is how Shang Ki and Katie became friends. u/akavina writes, "I was very curious about how Shang Ki and Katie became friends.
