The holidays can be a difficult time for many people, so Prince William spoke about the importance of prioritizing mental health on a special episode of Holiday's Time to Walk. The Duke of Cambridge spoke on a special episode of Apple's Time to Walk. (If you don't have an Apple Watch, see How to Choose the Best Apple Watch.)

The Prince invites listeners on a walk at his Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England. He stops by the church where the royal family visits at Christmas and tells stories of childhood car rides with his mother, the late Princess Diana.

The Duke also shared a touching moment with listeners and talked about his struggles with mental health after witnessing an accident in which a little boy was hit by a car when he was in an air ambulance.

"Mental health has long been taboo and stigmatized around the world.

Prince William also recalled that his father, Prince Charles, instilled in Harry the desire to get out of the house and go for walks. 'He used to try to get Harry and me out of the house to walk. But now that I'm older, I appreciate it more."

"The Best" by Tina Turner

The first of the three songs Prince William chose for his walk was Tina Turner's signature song "The Best". William revealed that his mother played "various songs" when she dropped him and his brother Prince Harry off at school to ease his "anxiety" about going back to school. One of the songs he still secretly enjoys is "The Best" by Tina Turner. Prince William explains it this way. My mother used to sing it at the top of her voice as she drove. We even had a policeman in the car and sometimes he would sing along. When I listen to the song now, it reminds me of those days in the car and brings back so many memories of my mother." The Duke and his brother unveiled a new memorial statue of his mother in London's Kensington Palace Gardens earlier this year to mark the 24th anniversary of her death.

Shakira's Waka Waka Waka

As well as being the future King of England, the Duke of Cambridge is the father of three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. His insights into family life are evident, such as the early morning argument between George and Charlotte over their playlist before school.

Their current favorite is Shakira's "Waka Waka," which was the duke's second choice." "Lots of hip moves," he laughs, "and lots of dressing up. [23] "Charlotte, in particular, is running around the kitchen in dresses and ballet costumes. She goes completely crazy and Louis follows her around trying to do the same thing. It's a really happy moment where the kids just dance, joke around, sing and have fun."

Prince William's final song of choice was "a Monday morning tonic." In a nod to the Duke's personal taste in music, he urged listeners to resist nodding along to the "head-banging" music. Appropriately for a Monday morning recording, William said the song "absolutely wakes me up. It makes me feel like I can take on anything or anyone."

Apple confirmed that it will make donations to three charities of Prince William's choice: Crisis Text Line in the US, Shout 85258 in the UK, and Lifeline in Australia.
