Michelle Young's Bachelorette 2021: Season 18 Premiere Date, Cast and More

Michelle Young's Bachelorette 2021: Season 18 Premiere Date, Cast and More

Are you ready? Because the premiere of Michelle Young's Bachelorette 2021 is just days away, ABC has announced the 30 men who will appear on the show, and Reality Steve has already revealed Michelle's winner in a big spoiler for Bachelorette. And that's the only big spoiler - one of the other suitors has already been chosen as the next Bachelorette.

UPDATE: Michelle has eliminated Clayton, but he's not leaving the spotlight. In fact, he's the star of Bachelor 2022. And we have all the details, including a release date for Season 26. The original article continues below:

Michelle is the second Bachelorette this year, following Katie Thurston. Katie's season recently ended and it was revealed in the finale that she was engaged to Blake Moines; both have appeared on Matt James' season of The Bachelor, with Michelle finishing as runner-up.

Now she will get a chance to find love as the Bachelorette. 'I'm ready,' she said. I think this process is going to go really well," she said during the casting announcement. 'I think you can learn a lot about someone when you really dive in and leave all the outside distractions behind. I'm just excited. I'm ready to get started."

Helping her on her journey are returning hosts and former Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Caitlin Bristow.

Here's everything you need to know about Michelle Young's "Bachelorette" 2021 season.

Michelle Young is a 28-year-old former Division I basketball player from Edina, Minnesota, who is now an elementary school teacher.

She joined the cast of The Bachelor season 25 to compete for Matt James' heart. Michelle ended up as the runner-up. Here is a photo of her on the set of the new season, shared by producer Mike Fleiss on Twitter:

In the "After the Final Rose" special, Michelle and Katie Thurston were chosen as the next two Bachelorettes, with Katie being the first chosen. The reason for this was to allow Michelle to film during the summer when she was on a teaching leave.

Michelle describes herself as loyal, caring, cooperative, and someone who shows love through service. Her ideal man would be "confident but not cocky" and would see her as an equal; according to her ABC bio, Michelle enjoys spending time with friends, hiking, and wine tasting. She is looking for a superwoman's superman.

The Bachelorette Season 18 premieres Tuesday, October 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

New episodes will air every Tuesday night.

This is different from the "Bachelor" franchise, which always airs on Mondays. During the fall season, ABC always airs "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday nights. Last year, Season 16 of "The Bachelorette" was postponed from its normal summer schedule due to a pandemic. It was moved to the fall and also aired on Tuesdays.

During Katie Thurston's "Bachelorette" finale, fans got a promo that gave a small glimpse of Michelle Young's upcoming season. Little Mix's "Bounce Back" played in the background as Michelle entered a hallway filled with roses. Dressed in a one-shoulder white gown, she glides along, stroking the roses.

In July, ABC released the names, ages, and photos of 35 men who are potential contestants for Bachelorette Season 18. The final cast list has now been revealed with 30 of those men.

Their average age is about 29, and quite a few are athletes. One of them, Joe, attends the University of Minnesota, and fans speculate that he and Michelle may already know each other.

Bachelor spoiler king Reality Steve revealed that one of them, Clayton Echard, has been chosen as the next Bachelor; ABC has yet to confirm this, but Clayton has already filmed for the show. He was seen doing so, and a group of potential performers was revealed (briefly) on Facebook. Clayton's Instagram

Why was Clayton, who has not even been introduced yet in the Bachelorette, chosen over celebrities like Michael Ario, Andrew Spencer and Greg Grippo? I don't even know Reality Steve. Clayton will somehow stand out in Michelle's season.

The first filming for The Bachelorette season 18 took place at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California.

The past three seasons of The Bachelor series were filmed in one location to maintain the bubble during the coronavirus outbreak.

However, Michelle's season will move beyond the resort to her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Reality Steve revealed that "Hometown Dating" will actually take place in the hometowns of the four finalists.

And the overnight date and final rose ceremony was filmed in Punta de Mita, Mexico.

Reality Steve doesn't have a ton of episode info for Michelle's season, but he does have the biggest Bachelorette spoiler you can find - the winner's name.

In a blog post, Steve wrote, "Been hearing rumors since the season ended, but got the confirmation I needed last weekend. Michelle is engaged to Neyte Olkoya."

As his ABC.com bio states, Nayte is a 27-year-old sales executive from Austin, 6'8" tall and "always the life of the party.

On Twitter, Steve also revealed that Brandon Jones is the runner-up. Brandon is a 26-year-old traveling nurse recruiter from Portland, Oregon, and a "self-described basketball fanatic."

In a previous column, Steve noted that Nate, Joe, and Peter were in the Final 12 because they were seen filming a one-on-one date in Minnesota.

Michelle and Joe attended a Twins-Rays baseball game, and she and Nate went boating on Lake Minnetonka. Michelle and Peter visited her parents' house (this was not a local date).

Steve reports that Clayton (the next Bachelor) went to Minnesota at least and was seen on a date with a group of 10 people.
