The OnePlus 10 will launch with Qualcomm's powerful new chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, according to a person in the know, co-founder of the handset maker.

Pete Lau, who co-founded OnePlus and is now chief product officer of OnePlus' parent company Oppo, took to Chinese social networking site Weibo to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset debuted earlier this week, and it didn't take long for manufacturers to start unveiling phones that will use this new system-on-chip.
