Yes, we have the Hawkeye Show lyrics from the Rogers Musical

Watching the Hawkeye show on Disney Plus, I couldn't help but wish that Marvel Studios would release the complete version of Rogers' scene in Rogers: The Musical. The scene is campy, inaccurate, and weird, so maybe someday it will be released as bonus footage.

But since we're not sure we'll get such a treat, Tom's Guide (with the help of subtitles and Apple's Live Text feature) transcribed some of the songs we heard in the first Hawkeye episode (you can learn more in our Hawkeye review).

First a little context. The song, presumably titled "I Could Do This All Day," is from a musical about the life of Captain America, in which Clint Barton and his children can be seen sitting. The musical is more of a Rodgers & Hammerstein, a Rodgers & Thor Hammerstein, but it is freewheeling, with Ant-Man (in "The Avengers") claiming to have been in the Battle of New York. Burton was particularly emotional when he noticed the performer playing the Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff, because he was emotionally disturbed by the fact that she was playing the Black Widow.

Chorus: [Captain America:

Things look bleak

But I know this can't be the end

Chorus:

Help us win: [Captain America:

I could do this all day

Chorus:

Save the Avengers!

Save the City

Save us all from the state we're in

The Hulk is incredible

Smashing things up

While Iron Man takes to the sky

Captain America. Captain America is strong

And Thor is God

And Lord knows

they're easy on the eyes

Black Widow knocks out

Who can knock you out

And when Ant-Man flies

Man flies

No sound is heard

The fight Just begun

Black Widow

Conquer the Chitauri

When it's over, we'll eat shawarma

How do we fight? [Captain America:

Then Natasha, you're up

Then Hawkeye, hit them

No better marksman than you /

Tony, catch those warheads

Be careful not to collide

and the Hulk

You know the magic word?

And Hulk

Do you know the magic words

[96] And Hulk, do you know the magic words [97] [98] Smash. Smash. Smash

Chorus

The city is rough

When you draw your bow

Then I'll blame you

But not now

The Avengers unite

"Cause we've got to hear you Say

Let me hear you

Let me hear you, [117] [118] I can do this all day [119] [120] Help me win [121] [122] Save us all from what we're in [123] [124] I want to hear your voice [125] [126 I want to, [127]

I could do this all day

The most interesting part of the entire song is where the chorus acknowledges that the public has blamed the Avengers and turned against them for the destruction, the events of "Civil War" and the timeline of the MCU allude to other moments when fear of the supernatural became toxic on the
