Update: New leaked information on the OnePlus 10 Pro reveals a major upgrade.

The OnePlus 10 Pro, rumored to be the Chinese company's next flagship, may feature a massive and oddly shaped rear camera module.

This is according to an image of a OnePlus 10 Pro dummy unit posted on Twitter by David Kowalksi, aka xleaks7 and Fathom Bracelets, a leather and fabric bracelet maker. The dummy unit shows that the OnePlus 10 Pro may have a curved display, but the camera module appears to be radically different from that of the OnePlus 9 Pro.

The back of the phone shows the previously rumored camera bump, which blends into the back housing like the Samsung Galaxy S21. We expect such a module to feature a group of upgraded cameras with improved color tuning, which OnePlus has partnered with camera maker Hasselblad on.

However, we have seen this camera module teased before in renders that appear to be based on a leak. Therefore, it is possible that this dummy unit is not actual OnePlus information, but a mock-up from them.

As for the screen, it is set to be a curved display with melting edges; given that the OnePlus 9 Pro had a curved display, it would not be surprising if the OnePlus 10 Pro follows suit.

That's all we can tell from these dummy images; the OnePlus 10 Pro is likely to be an evolution in smartphone design, rather than a major departure from the best Android smartphone designs.

Other rumors suggest that the OnePlus 10 Pro will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip, which, while not a Snapdragon, may be equivalent to the Apple A15 Bionic found in the iPhone 13, according to early reports. If true, it could be the same as the Apple A15 Bionic in the OnePlus 13. If true, the OnePlus 10 Pro could be the first Android phone to catch up to the iPhone in terms of performance.

As for the release date, the OnePlus 10 Pro is rumored to launch in January or February 2022. In this case, it would be a month earlier than the OnePlus 9's launch date, which was in March of this year.
