As we learn more about the Google Pixel 6, it turns out that Android 12's new "Games Dashboard" feature (currently exclusive to the Pixel 6) has games optimized by that feature. With optimized games, you can essentially tell the Pixel 6 whether to prioritize performance or battery life.

In other words, if you want the best frame rate and the best graphics, you can have it. Or, if you want the Pixel 6's battery to last as long as possible, you can do so; the Play Store currently lists 31 games optimized for the Pixel 6, and Google has a new Game Mode developer tool that takes advantage of this optimization Google is encouraging more app makers to take advantage of this optimization.

Given the myriad of games in the Play Store, 31 titles may seem like a drop in the ocean. But all things have to start somewhere, and some of the games on this list are pretty major.

Some users, including Tom's Guide staff, have seen "Pixel 6 optimized" carousels in the games tab of the Play Store, which is where this list comes from. So without further ado, let's take a look at the Pixel 6-optimized games.

The Game Dashboard is currently exclusive to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro; it's unclear when Google will open up this feature to the older generation Pixel, all we know is that "some" devices will have access to it later this year!

We also do not know which other handset makers besides Samsung plan to add a gaming dashboard. Nevertheless, this new Game Mode API could be quite a boon for the best gaming phones by providing OS-level optimization tools for gaming. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
