There are more questions than answers about the post-credit scene in Marvel's "Eternals". Especially for those who are approaching the end of this epic film (which is said to be over two and a half hours long) and are faced with a decision. That decision begins today. Because the film will be screened on the same Thursday night as the epic.

And we are concerned about the secretive nature of all this conversation. Right now, the secrecy of Eternals' post-credit scene seems to be kept for the greater good. One website we looked at ran an article about two actors in the future of the film in the MCU and then apparently took the article down. We won't name names, but this is very concerning.

If we are to take the word of Marvel Studios executive Kevin Feige (something we rarely recommend to people in regards to who promotes a film), the post-credit scene in "Eternals" and the film itself will be world-shattering.

Specifically, Feige has said (in a promotional featurette) that "the impact of 'Eternals' on the MCU will be nothing short of a complete redefinition of the film world." That's quite a promotion for the most imminent Marvel film.

In a word. Yes, in three words; there are two. Yes, you should be in the cinema.

In fact, director Chloe Zhao told Fandango, "I think the film is a great film, and I think it's a great film. Both carry the same important weight, and both will surprise you greatly."

And here again, one has to wonder how much of an impact "Eternals" will have on the future of the MCU. The fact is that these two scenes are important and carry weight. They seem pretty important, so don't be left needing a bathroom break at the end of the movie.

This is a much harder question to answer. This is because most of the events of these scenes have not been revealed by reliable sources. And interestingly, it continues until the day before the film is released (Thursday, November 4).

We do know one thing that happens in one of the post-credit scenes in Eternals. But Walt Disney Studios President of Marketing Asad Ayaz is so tight-lipped about the news that he tweeted Please do not post spoilers or revelations that many have worked so hard to protect" - I'm not going to repeat the details here. We were not asked not to share those details here, it just seems like a good idea.

It's not a real secret, though; the folks at CNN released a big detail from the post-credits scene the day after Ayaz asked for silence. You can get the details there if you wish. But there seems to be much more hidden in the post-credits scene than that one piece of information.

In the aforementioned Fandango interview, Zhao reiterated what Feige said, stating that "what happens in this film will have a big impact on the future." In other words, this is probably the main reason why everyone involved in "Eternals" wants to keep this secret. In her own response to Feige's comment about redefining everything, Zhao noted that audiences will "discover the origins of the MCU through the mythology of the Celestials" and will "gain a new understanding of Earth's relationship to the universe and its inhabitants."

A character connected to the Eternals is the Celestials' Esson (explorer), who appeared in the film "Guardians of the Galaxy." He is a giant with six bright lights in his eyes and a huge glowing weapon. He previously owned the Power Stone, and the trailer for "Eternals" makes it clear that he will be back.

Celestials, in case you haven't read it yet, created both Eternals and Deviant, and they are fighting the battle.

What do you think of the leaked news of the post-credits scene? It would certainly attract attention. But we don't think it makes any sense at all. We don't even see the resemblance.

Furthermore, these kinds of bizarre revelations and news make us wonder if someone, somewhere, is deceiving us all. The headlines are so outlandish that, to expand the metaphor, it seems like a different sport.

Ever since Eternals was announced, we've had questions. Specifically, why is Marvel making this huge, epic movie? The Eternals has the same problem that many Marvel characters who eventually became comic book characters have had.

Aside from telling the specific story of the original (they've been here for over 7,000 years) psychics in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Eternals appears to be a film with an agenda for the future behind it, which many in the MCU have. The key problem is that these films often feel more like a chain of giant corporate film projects than a story in and of itself.

And this is part of the reason people are prepared to be spoiled. When there is no attachment to these characters, going to the cinema ("Eternals" will not air on Disney Plus), and it is not the freewheeling adventure that it once was, the risk of feeling bad about being spoiled feels minimal.

For example, when the post-credits scene publicity for "Venom 2" hit, those who did not feel a strong connection to Tom Hardy's mouthy character probably thought they could just Google him. Nevertheless, we are keeping an eye out for any reliable leaks of other details about the post-credit scene for "Eternals." I have a feeling that something big is afoot.
