Ready for a trip to the Wild West? Before you watch Season 4 of Yellowstone, here's how to watch Yellowstone online if you want to catch up on one of the most popular shows on television.

The drama, starring Kevin Costner as the ranch patriarch, is a hit for Paramount Network and is sure to draw a large audience when Season 4 premieres Sunday (November 7) in a two-episode special. But even if you don't have cable TV, you can watch the past three seasons for free.

The show's ratings success has led to a spin-off prequel series set in 1883 about the origins of the Dutton family to air on Paramount Plus.

In the film, Costner plays John Dutton, the head of the family that has owned the Dutton Ranch for six generations. The ranch is located near Yellowstone National Park and a Native American reservation.

He oversees the ranch with his son Casey Dutton (Lucas Grimes), a former Navy SEAL. Casey is married to a Native American woman, Monica (Kelsey Asbill Cho), and they have a boy named Tate. John's other son Jamie (Wes Bentley) is a lawyer and aspiring politician.

And John's daughter Beth Dutton (Kelly Riley) is a financier with a substance abuse problem. She is also in love with ranch manager Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser).

The Dutton family continues to fight to maintain control of the ranch. They deal with thorny political machinations, confront greedy land developers, and manage tensions with local Native American tribes. At the end of Season 3, an all-out assault on the Dutton family begins. Shots ring out and the fates of John and Casey are played out.
