But this is just a meta note for today's event: the headliner for UFC 267 is a light heavyweight championship bout that asks whether age is a plus in the octagon. In the main event, 42-year-old Glover Teixeira will take on Jan Vlahovic.

At the UFC 267 press conference on Thursday (October 28), the champion and the press closed the event with a "Happy Birthday" serenade for Teixeira. And Teixeira, on a five-fight winning streak, enters the main event with a good scenario on his side.

Nevertheless, Vlahovic's striking ability, especially with regard to counters, should not be overlooked. For the champion, all it takes is a simple lure to turn his opponent into prey. Vlahovic is also on a five-fight winning streak against Teixeira, with a decision win over Israel Adesanya in March, a KO/TKO win in 2020, and two wins in 2019.

Vlahovic has not won by submission since 2018, but three of Teixeira's five fights have come by submission.
