The Witcher Season 2 trailer is here - and it looks like it's worth the wait

The air date for Season 2 of The Witcher is getting closer and closer.

Netflix has released a new trailer for Season 2, which will debut on December 17. Honestly, if the next wave of episodes can bring this kind of energy, it will be ridiculously entertaining. Because I'm very excited about it.

If you've read the books or played The Witcher 3, you know where this season is headed. While Siri begins her training in the Witcher stronghold of Kea Mochen, the Nilfgaardian invasion of the north is in full swing. Their leader, Emperor Emhir, is looking for something and will not stop until he gets it.

Of course, all the major players are back, and for fans, even more new characters are on the way. Not only does the Witcher look ready for battle, including fan favorite Vesemir, but there are also glimpses of the villainous sorcerer Vilgeforz and "Game of Thrones" star Christopher Hiviju, who plays the cursed Nivellen.

Oh, and there are plenty of monsters. Because there can't be a Witcher without monsters to kill. No one likes a man who just has weird eyes. Jaskaiel, however, only appears for about five seconds, but somehow dominates the entire show.

Honestly, this is enough to forgive all the massive sins committed in the show's premiere season. Like the lycra armor worn by the Nilf Guardians. Thankfully, that figure is nowhere to be found.

All 10 episodes of The Witcher Season 2 will appear on December 17 and will be exclusive to Netflix. Let's hope it turns out to be as great as this trailer suggests.
