Samsung Galaxy S21FE may finally be gearing up for Release — here's the proof

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, which has yet to make an appearance despite persistent rumors, may soon be revealed.

As proof, Roland Quandt discovered that a support page for a device with the model number SM-G990B/DS has reappeared on Samsung's Irish website. This number is believed to be for the Galaxy S21 FE, and if so, it is important evidence that this phone will still be available.

In addition, Jermaine "Concept Creator" Schmit posted images of screen protectors labeled "for Galaxy S21 FE." These do not appear to be made by Samsung, but by a third party. However, assuming that these are genuine, the accessory maker still seems confident that the Galaxy S21 FE will be available.

Meanwhile, LetsGoDigital has commissioned Giuseppe "Snoreyn" Spinelli to create a rendering of the Galaxy S21 FE (shown on this page). As can be seen from the design, the phone is very similar to the original Samsung Galaxy S21, but with a single color throughout instead of two-tone.

The four color options for the Galaxy S21 FE that can be seen in the Snorrain renderings are claimed to be white, gray, light green, and light purple. Display analyst Ross Young adds that most Galaxy S21 FE models will be manufactured in gray, but a blue version will be available in limited quantities.

From previous leaks, we now expect the Galaxy S21 FE in 2022, with January 11 being one possible date. It is believed that Samsung intended to have this phone appear in last week's Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Part 2, but production delays and problems forced the company to reschedule the launch.

As the name suggests, the Galaxy S21 FE will be a reworked Galaxy S21 with an emphasis on making it a bit cheaper; it will have a Snapdragon 888 chip and a main/ultra-wide/3x telephoto camera combination similar to the base Galaxy S21 model. However, the new 6.4-inch size may come at a lower price than the standard Galaxy S21's $799.

With a planned release date of early 2022, the Galaxy S21 FE could accompany the Samsung Galaxy S22, which may appear in the same month. According to the latest rumors, the Galaxy S21 FE will be a full makeover of the Galaxy S21 and will likely include a new Snapdragon 895 and Exynos 2200 chip, a new rear camera design, and possibly a Galaxy S22 Ultra model with a built-in S Pen .
