Watch "Star Trek: Prodigy" online and it's Janeway season once again. Yes, the captain of Voyager is back, this time in hologram form. This Paramount Plus series is nearing its debut and seems to introduce Star Trek to a much younger audience, as the cast is made up primarily of teens and children.

This new crew, piloting the U.S.S. Protostar, appears to be led by 17-year-old Dal (voiced by Brett Gray), an unknown species. Other cast members include Gwynn (voiced by Ella Purnell), a Vau Nakat tribe raised on a mining planet; Zero (voiced by Angus Imrie), a life form of unknown gender with no physical form; 8-year-old Brikar Lok Tark (voiced by: Riley Alazraki), the indestructible, hungry, adorable blob, Murph (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker), and 16-year-old Tellarite, Jankom Pogu (voiced by Jason Mantzoukas).

The cast includes Baker (who has voiced characters in everything from "Avatar: The Last Airbender" to "Star Wars: The Bad Batch," "American Dad! ) and Mantzoukas (co-star of "The League," voice actor for "Big Mouth" and "Invincible"), among other names already familiar to the audience. In addition, Kate Mulgrew returns to the world of Trek.

The series begins cold and desolate, but hope comes in the form of a giant ship, the U.S.S. Protostar, which is inhabited by a hologram Janeway. Of course, the ship does not belong to them, and its rightful owner seems to be an angry fellow, who wants it back.
