The new immunization card feature relies in part on individual states and countries adding support for digitally verifiable immunization cards. We have successfully tested this with the NYS Wallet app, but similar procedures should apply to different forms of proof; even those who receive vaccinations at national pharmacies such as CVS and Walgreens can add their COVID-19 vaccination cards to their Apple Wallet They can.

Instructions for adding a COVID-19 immunization card to Apple Wallet are as follows.

1. open the digital certificate of immunization on your iPhone, either in the pharmacy's app or in any other third-party app provided by the state or country.

For now, the option to add COVID-19 immunization cards to Apple Wallet only works with proof of digital format. In other words, paper immunization cards cannot be added to Apple Wallet.
