Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra can throw away the terrible camera bump

This Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra rumor paints a picture of a potentially great flagship, and if it's going to beat the likes of the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the new Google Pixel 6 Pro for the title of best phone, it will have to be

We've already seen the likes of the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the new Google Pixel 6 Pro.

We've already seen some rendered images of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, a Galaxy S22 schematic, and a crude S22 dummy unit. But now we have the possibility of showing the first photos of the backside of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The good thing about this photo is that it doesn't show any large camera bumps. If this photo is legitimate, the lens may be in line with the design. However, there are some important caveats here.

First, the source of this leak is the fairly reliable @FrontTron on Twitter, but since this photo was published on the Chinese site Weibo, we need to take this leak with a grain of salt.

Second, just because there is no camera bump on this purported back panel does not mean that a camera bump will not be added. However, we have seen other rumors pointing to the possibility of a "water drop" design where the Galaxy S22 Ultra's camera protrudes but does not require a large bump.

These renderings were created by rendering artist Parvez "Technizio Concept" in collaboration with LetsGoDigital and Korean source "Super Roader."

Other Galaxy S22 Ultra leaks have pointed to an overall more square design, similar to the Galaxy Note series. And this makes sense, as the S22 Ultra is said to take over the Galaxy Note with integrated storage for the S Pen.

During a previous S22 Ultra design leak, FrontTron reacted positively to the concept, and veteran leaker Ice Universe also responded "100% !" responded. So it is possible that this latest evidence is building toward something legitimate. [In terms of specs, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will likely feature a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens, in addition to an improved 108MP sensor. We expect the new Exynos 2200 chip to support AMD's RDNA architecture.

The Galaxy S22 lineup is expected to debut in January or February, so expect more rumors and leaks before then. Be sure to bookmark our Galaxy S22 hub page for all the latest information.
