Mattress maker Tuft & Needle Launches Program for Sleep Deprived New Parents

Tuft & Needle announced that it is offering a free six-week Sleep Ambassador Program to help new moms and dads get a good night's sleep and feel energized in the morning. The program consists of a Sleep Wellness Package valued at $4,959.99, focusing on specific lifestyle changes that support sleep.

Tuft & Needle is one of America's premier mattress brands, offering a wide range of affordable, cooling all-foam and hybrid models. The Sleep Ambassador Program is new for 2021 and is accepting applications through November 12. No purchase is required to apply.

The program will begin with a sleep consultation on November 30 and is part of the Sleep Wellness Package below. They will also need to provide Tuft & Needle with a video about their experience, share sleep statistics taken with an Oura ring, and document their progress over a six-week period.

To apply, you must fill out an application form and tell Tuft & Needle how your sleep has changed as a new parent and why you want to participate in the program. Video applications are also accepted.

Jen Daley, CMO of Tuft & Needle, had this to say about the Sleep Ambassador Program: "As new parents, we struggle with designing the perfect nursery to help our babies feel more settled... Meanwhile, we quickly forget about our own sleep health.

A recent survey found that 90% of new parents are not getting the recommended amount of sleep, losing on average around 3 hours per night in the first 12 months with their newborn. Fewer than 10% of respondents reported getting more than 7 hours of sleep.

"A proper mattress is a good starting point, but getting better sleep goes beyond that," Daley continued.

"Changing positive habits and creating your own personal sleep sanctuary is the key to getting the best sleep." [Tuft & Needle is accepting applications for the Sleep Ambassador Program through November 12, 2021. Successful applicants will be notified by email the week of November 19 and can begin the six-week program on November 30.

Successful participants will receive exclusive access to e-learning sleep coaching and resources, as well as a variety of sleep products, including the Memory Foam Mattress, a popular choice for hot sleepers, and the Graphite-Infused Tufted & Needled Mint Mattress.

Even if you don't participate in a boxed mattress manufacturer's sleep ambassador program, there are many ways to improve your sleep. Sleep hygiene is your friend, so don't just make your child's room a quiet place for snoozing; do the same for your bedroom. Use soft lighting in the evenings, keep the room cool, dark, and quiet when sleeping, and clean up clutter so it doesn't interfere with relaxation.

A comfortable yet supportive bed pillow can also help. They are not very expensive, but can make a big difference in the quality of dozing.

And if you don't have the budget for a major upgrade but want a little more comfort in bed, consider breathing new life into your existing mattress with the best mattress toppers. When you feel more comfortable and cooler, you sleep better. And the better you sleep (whenever you can), the more rested you will feel the next day.
