Today's Google Pixel6 Event — Everything You Need to Know

There isn't much mystery left at this point, but it only takes a few hours for us to finally get Google Pixel6. Before the Google Pixel Fall launch event is underway today (Oct. 19), we have already learned a lot about the upcoming Google flagship.

Thanks to leaks about important details — many of them have already been confirmed by Google — we have a pretty good sense of what Pixel6 looks like and what specifications it features. Still, the launch of the new Pixel6 and Pixel6Pro should be an exciting time for Android fans and Pixel enthusiasts. Not only are the new phones an important departure from the previous Pixel, they will showcase Google's first attempt at its own Silicon. The new Google-built system-on-chip, named Tensor, is set to push the limits of what is possible with mobile machine learning and AI applications.

Previously, it was held under the Made with Google event and we heard about other Google products like Chromebooks and members of the Nest family. Judging by the name of the Oct. 19 Product Launches—It seems that this year's focus will be on Pixel6 and Pixel6Pro — not the "Pixel Fall Launch" but something broader. Still, there are always rooms and surprises and two.

Read on to find out more about Google's Oct. 19 pixel fall launch, and what could be displayed at the event.

Google is planning the Pixel Fall Launch2021 event today (10/10). 19)で10a.m.PT/1p.m.ET/6p.m.BST . Google says you'll be able to see it on some platforms, but it doesn't have a dedicated site right now for you to check out (and revisit to see live events). You can also check out our guide on how to watch Pixel Fall launch events for different live stream options— or better yet, you can follow it all with us on our Google Pixel 6 Events Live blog. You can do it. We're already up and running, generating all the last-minute leaks and pre-event build-ups, so check out the latest news now.

Google's Pixel Fall launch takes place in the middle of a busy stretch of high-profile tech events. Yesterday (10/10). 18), Apple held the apple Unleashed fall event and announced the new MacBook Pro14-inch 2021 and MacBook Pro16-inch 2021, and Apple AirPods3. Then, tomorrow, Samsung will host a new Galaxy Unpacked event, which could include a new mobile product.

This surplus of technology launches surrounding the google event will simply make the stars of the show, in fact, Pixel6 and Pixel6Pro for Google, as it tries to attract some attention for its new phones. We've heard a lot about these 2 phones in the last few months, but Google is fully checking some of the details. For example, we know that a new Tensor chip will power both devices. Google says Tensor will focus primarily on AI and machine learning, and the leaked Pixel6 benchmark paints a picture of a phone that is close to matching a Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone, but far below matching an iPhone13.

Otherwise, Pixel6 and Pixel6Pro are major deviations from Google's typical Spartan design language, similar to the recent excellent Pixel5a. There is a camera bar that spans the width of the phone, and some colorways have 3 color designs. The fingerprint sensor attached to the back is gone and may move below the display. The cutout of the front camera hole punch is now centered instead of the left corner.

The regular Pixel6 is set to feature a 90-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 6.4 Hz. It features a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra wide angle. The Pixel6Pro raises the ante with a 120-inch QHD+ display with a refresh rate of 6.71 Hz and a 4th 3MP telephoto camera with 48X optical zoom. The smaller pixels are rumored to have a 4,614mAh battery, while the bigger boys should have a huge 5,000mAh power pack.

Look for Google to showcase new photo software features in addition to camera hardware improvements. The Pixel6 camera leak points to a magic eraser feature that removes people and objects from the background of the shot, as well as a face blurring tool to sharpen facial features.

Even after the announcement of 10 May. 19 event, the Pixel6 Leak features more camera details, information on the new Pixel stand for charging, the appearance of a so-called "live space" widget that seems to simplify access mobile payments and paths. The leaked Pixel6 promotional video covers all the highlights.

One of the remaining mysteries was the cost of the new phone, but the new leak may have revealed its details as well.1 Fortunately, that's good news — the Pixel6 isド599, and the Pixel6Pro isと898, according to a tipster who saw the price at the retailer.

Pixel6 and Pixel6Pro will be the flagship devices of Android12, and the visual design will also change significantly.

Google can come up with an unusual way to buy a new phone through something called a Pixel Pass. The rumored Pixel Pass program includes not only Pixel6 devices, but also subscriptions to premium services such as YouTube Premium, Play Pass, and Google One. The package will be available through Google Fi, the company's wireless service.

As explained in the rumors, the Pixel Pass is Google's response to the Apple One bundle, allowing you to combine subscriptions to Apple's various services at an overall lower rate than if you paid separately for each service.

There are some swirling rumors about the successor to the much-loved Pixelbook, which was a premium Chromebook. Given the name of the 10/19 event, it's not surprising that Google is unveiling new Chromebooks and more. Still, the company could surprise us, but we guess and expect at this point. Pixel6 isn't the only phone Google is working on.

Rumors suggest that a foldable device called Pixel Fold is under development. In addition, some phone companies have claimed that Pixel Fold will debut this year - potentially alongside Pixel6.

I don't know how likely that is, given that the details of the pixel creases are almost leaky — certainly not to the extent that pixel 6 is detailed. It's usually a sign of a phone not very ready for the spotlight.

Still, Google is not shy about previewing new hardware long before it's released. So, there is a possibility that we can get a pixel-fold teaser at today's event. Or this could be a situation where people waiting for Google's foldable phone will have to wait until next year.

Here, Google gives us a pixel-fold teaser today, even if it is not yet ready to unveil a full foldable phone

It has long been rumored that Google has its own smartwatch to work with the company's Wear OS software. That said, the rumors are pretty quiet on the front of the Google Pixel Watch, and we assume that yet another Google event will come and go without an appearance.

The Internet leaker, tweeting as @Applelle257, does not share our skepticism, claiming that many products will appear in the Pixel Fall launch. In addition to Pixel6 and Pixel6Pro (indeed), its leaker claims that the Pixel Fold, Pixel Watch and Nest speakers will also appear today. The possibility of pixel tablets has also been suggested.

Given the lack of track record for this particular leaker and the fact that we've heard very little about the Pixel Watch lately, we're surprised and delighted that the google Pixel Watch could blow the Galaxy Watch4, albeit with a rumor that probably won't come out.

Google has previously stated that it takes things seriously with Pixel6. Previous pixels were all niche and hobbyist devices, but what is expected among many is that Pixel6 will eventually push the mainstream of the phone family. It is not yet known if that will happen. From the camera to the tensor, we expect Pixel6 and Pixel6Pro to be great. I'm as excited as getting a new phone, but I wonder what Google will tell me at the Pixel Fall launch event other than the official price and release date
