The Apple Store just went down Before the Apple Event — What to Expect

As of this writing, the Apple Store is effectively down just hours before the Apple Unleashed event, indicating that new products will be added and will likely be available for pre-order after the event.

Those products are expected to be the MacBook Pro 2021 and the new MacBook Pro 16-inch. There are also whispers that the Mac mini 2021 with the rumored M1X chip and the AirPods 3, which seem to have been forgotten at previous Apple events.

The new MacBook Pro will feature a new design, including a display cutout, as well as more ports, the return of MagSafe, and a new mini that replaces the good but much older LCD Retina display on the current MacBook Pro M1 LED display, is expected to be the star of the show.

Under the hood is expected to be the M1X chip, a more enhanced version of the Apple M1 chip, with more processors and graphics cores. More RAM and storage is also expected.

As for the new Mac mini, it is expected to have an upgraded Apple Silicon as well as a new chassis. All of this should be taken with a grain of salt, as there is not a lot of leaked information about the new Mac mini.

And then there's the AirPods 3. We had hoped they would be released along with the iPhone 13, but they disappeared at Apple's September event. However, according to various information and rumors, they are expected to appear by the end of 2021 and may finally be revealed at Apple's event today.

We expect the AirPods 3 to be designed like the AirPods Pro, with improved audio features and possibly even active noise cancellation. Other rumors point to improved health-sensing technology, which may be reserved for the AirPods Pro 2.
