The Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez had a big game, going 4-for-5 with two homers. The Boston center fielder is hitting .500 in the playoffs with four homers and eight runs batted in. He also made a tremendous diving grab in the second inning to save Chris Sale and the Sox from a bases loaded jam.

In Game 2, Nathan Eovaldi will start for Boston and Luis Garcia will start for the Astros. Eovaldi is 1-0 with a 2.61 ERA in two starts this postseason, while Garcia made one start against the White Sox in the Divisional Round, which did not go well. The 24-year-old pitched just 2.2 innings, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks.

The Astros were 1.5 run favorites in Game 2. The over/under was 8.5 runs.

Looking at this series, one has to admire the managers. Dusty Baker and Tony La Russa were teammates with Hank Aaron and Phil Niekro on the 1971 Braves. La Russa, now 77, is in his first season with this version of the White Sox. He led the team in the last century, from 1979 to 1986. As for the 72-year-old Baker, Houston marks his fifth team, and like La Russa, he has taken every franchise he has managed to the playoffs.
