It's time to watch Halloween Kills online! You don't have to go to the cinema to be frightened by the return of Michael Myers in the second chapter of the H40 timeline of Halloween movies. Already confused? Our guide to watching Halloween movies in order breaks it down for you.

Directed by David Gordon Green, the film is a sequel to 2018's Halloween, itself a sequel to John Carpenter's original 1978 film. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) is still alive, but somehow (after being burned to death) so is Myers. And we are finally on the hunt to destroy the killer.

"Halloween Kills," which opened on Friday, October 15 at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET on Peacock, is available for streaming now. An early release was announced but not officially confirmed.

Currently as low as 47% on Rotten Tomatoes, Halloween Kills is not doing well with critics Not doing well with critics.

Janet Catzouris of the New York Times said the film "makes ridiculous declarations ("He's an apex predator!") ) and moronic behavior (doors are left unlocked and unloaded guns are brandished), and "Halloween Kills" sometimes plays like a very gross-out comedy routine," she claims. She also notes that "clumsy flashbacks to the original plot placate the uninitiated, and characters we barely remember reappear to take their chances among those creatively killed."

ComicBook.com's Patrick Cavanaugh called the film "ruthless and redundant" and Halloween Kills "has some ...... seeds of interesting ideas and allows them to sprout just long enough to resonate with the audience, but still contradicts itself and leaves the audience with a tinny message."

And in Empire, Ian Freer writes, "'Halloween Kills' bends common sense to the extreme, making it impossible to root for any of its dumb victims."

Nevertheless, it is unlikely that these unfavorable reviews will have a negative impact on the opening box office, as these films are virtually critically unacceptable.
