Halloween is just around the corner, so this weekend's new movies and TV shows will provide plenty of thrills and chills. Get ready for a night of horror on Netflix, Disney Plus, Peacock and other streaming services.

The weekend lineup is led by You Season 3, which continues the creepy story of Stalker/killer Joe Goldberg. He became a dad and moved to the suburbs, but that doesn't stop him from finding a new obsession. Next up is the franchise's latest film, Halloween Kill, which shows Laurie Strode still confronting slasher Michael Myers. And for a younger audience, Just Beyond is the R.S.A.L.It's a gently spooky anthology series from Stine's heart.

In non-Halloween content, Dopesick is a star-studded fictional description of the rise of oxycontin and the opioid crisis. The documentary "Velvet Underground" chronicles the formation and influence of the iconic band. And Inheritance Season 3 is here with more cut-throat antics from billionaire Lloyds.

The film traces the rise of the band in the 1960s, when downtown New York was pounding with avant-garde art, film and music. Visually, Haynes unfolds a psychedelic treatment that recalls the band's early shows staged by Andy Warhol. There are also more typical videos and interviews, including founding member John Cale, showing how the Velvet Underground paved the way for glam rock, punk and later innovation.

The story is only gently scary, suitable for 7 years and older.

The show has a satirical tone, but it's serious to examine how Beth's selfish motives and privileges contradict the harsh reality of Toni's situation.
