Google Pixel6 Leak gives you the best look ahead to Google Event

The Google Pixel 6 launch is less than a week away, but it's starting to look like there are no surprises left for the day.

After a UK retailer accidentally released promo pages for both Pixel 6 models, leaker Evan Blass tweeted photos of four of the six colors of the Google Pixel 6 that will be available later this month.

This is the Pixel 6 in what Blass calls "Seafoam Green." The body is not too far off from the "Sorta Sage" shade of the Pixel 5, but here the black band is emphasized, with a bright, shiny green area over it.

This is quite an eye-catching color, and this two-tone design appears to work well. However, one has to hold the phone in one's hands to know for sure.

On the "Stormy Black" Pixel 6, the differentiation is less clear. The main areas of the back are a deep shade of black, but the top seems to have shifted to a slate gray. This is probably a device for those who like less flashy phones.

The Pixel 6 Pro will be available in the same shade. And Blass estimates that it will look virtually identical to it's smaller sibling, only with a larger area above the camera band.

The Pixel 6 Pro will reportedly also be available in a slightly lighter color, "Cloudy White." This one will have a white body, with the top of the trademark black camera band in silver. It looks like a phone dressed in a Star Wars stormtrooper outfit.

According to marketing materials shared by leaker M. Brandon Lee, this represents four of the six total colors that will be available for the Pixel 6 family. Lee claims that the base Pixel 6 will be available in three colors: "Kinda Coral," "Salta Seafoam," and "Stormy Black." The Pixel 6 Pro, on the other hand, will be available in three colors: "Sorta Sunny," (think of a two-tone tello) "Cloudy White," and "Stormy Black."

It is not difficult to line up the four colors photographed by Blass with the names leaked by Lee. However, we have likely already seen these in previous leaks. This is most likely the Pixel 6 in "Kinda Coral" from the cached Carphone Warehouse promo page.

And this appears to be a Pixel 6 Pro in "Sorta Sunny" from a deleted Pixel 6 Pro page.

Given that Lee had previously highlighted possible prices in the same leaked literature, there is not much left to know about the Pixel 6 in another week.

However, it remains an exciting phone, not least because Google is taking its own path with the Tensor SoC in a world where nearly every company except Apple is using the same Qualcomm chipset. So far, Google has promised that the new processor will "transform the experience of the camera, voice recognition, and other Pixel 6 features," but has hinted that there is more to it than that.

And while we seem to know almost everything about the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, there are also longstanding rumors that Google will also announce a Pixel Fold by the end of the year. Given that Google does not tend to hold multiple events a year, there is a strong feeling that 2021 is now or never.

The Pixel event will take place on Tuesday, October at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET. Until then, check the Pixel 6 page for the latest leaks and rumors.
