According to TechPowerUp tests, Windows 11 running on a PC with a Ryzen 7 2700X CPU had a latency of 17 nanoseconds before the update, compared to 1ns typically. However, in the same test after the update, the latency was 31.9 ns.

A patch is currently being prepared and AMD plans to release a fix for this issue on October 21. Some "customers" may request an earlier application of the patch, but this will likely only apply to enterprise-grade customers.

However, Microsoft plans to release a patch to fix the L3 issue on October 19. However, the critical patch to obtain is very likely to be from AMD.
