Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Dummy Unit reveals New design for Flagship

A purported Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra dummy phone has appeared, and it appears that the next-generation Galaxy phone in its largest size may be designed to look quite similar to the Note.

Pigtou and David at xleaks7 have released images and video of a dummy phone purportedly showing the Galaxy S22 Ultra design. With a more blocky rectangular design, squared-off corners, and an interesting P-shaped rear camera module, the dummy phone appears to be the child between Samsung's Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

This design makes a lot of sense, as previous rumors suggested that the Galaxy S22 Ultra would be the successor to the Galaxy Note with a built-in stylus. [However, there is no evidence of a compartment for the stylus on this model, so it is possible that the stylus will be a separate accessory or attached to the case, as on the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Although it is difficult to tell from these images, the overall size of the phone is also said to be slightly smaller than the current Galaxy S21 Ultra. This will be good news for those who find the current model a bit too big.

Helping the ergonomics of the phone would be the curved left and right edges visible in some images. However, not everyone likes curved displays because of the possibility of accidental touching.

The camera on the back of the phone is arranged in a "P" shape, which appears to be a blend of the common straight and rectangular camera arrays found on other Android phones. The block is expected to contain four cameras, consisting of a main, ultra-wide, and dual telephoto sensor, like the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Other rumors have revealed details of what we can expect from Samsung's next flagship phone: the Galaxy S22 line is believed to feature a new chipset with AMD's ray-tracing graphics, which mobile gamers This could be very valuable for mobile gamers.

Samsung may also improve the phone's photography capabilities by upgrading the S21 Ultra's 108MP camera for the S22 Ultra and introducing a 50MP main sensor for the S22 and S22 Plus models.

We cannot confirm the legitimacy of this dummy unit, but it smells of authenticity, especially since it seems to confirm other rumors that the Galaxy S22 integrates the Note phone's DNA. Regardless, however, we are rather excited.

The Galaxy Note phone may not be for everyone, but it is still one of the best Android phones out there. So it was a little sad to hear that the Galaxy Note 21 never materialized and that the Galaxy Note line is basically dead. But to see it live on in the Galaxy S22 Ultra may be music to our ears.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra felt like a Note disguised as an oversized S line device. Therefore, it makes sense to make them pseudo-Note successors. It also eliminated the hassle of weighing whether to get an Ultra Galaxy phone or wait for an unreleased Note phone to appear six months later.

In a way, if these rumors are legitimate, it means that Samsung's standard flagship smartphone line will tighten up, giving it more room during the year to focus on folding phones and the successor to the impressive Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Of course, this is all speculation, and we have no idea when the Galaxy S22 series will launch; one estimate puts it around January or February, which relates to past Galaxy S launch dates. Another rumor suggests that the S22 series may actually launch in December. In that case, it would be easier for Samsung to compete with the iPhone 13 and Google Pixel 6, but the Galaxy S21 would be replaced in less than a year.

In any case, Samsung's Galaxy S22 is likely to be the standard lineup of Android devices in 2022.
