Apple's next phone will likely be the iPhone SE 3, which is said to arrive in spring 2022, but for some it will only be the flagship phone.

And while it's too early for a clear image of the iPhone 14 to emerge, that hasn't stopped concept artists from coming up with what the iPhone 14 could look like; it's hard to argue with the taste of the creators of this video from ConceptsiPhone, which shows a phone that looks like it could be a flagship phone.

The professionally produced clip targets four weaknesses of the current iPhone design while maintaining Apple's overall aesthetic. Some of them are arguably more optimistic than others. The reason Apple is not copying other manufacturers' modest front-facing camera options is that the company needs space for its complex Face ID technology, and here we assume this can be accomplished under the screen.

However, the concept artist does not imagine this is the only means of authentication: Touch ID is back. Unlike recent rumors, this is not a fingerprint scanner under the display, but one built into the power button, as on the iPad Air and the new iPad mini 6.

The camera bump will be completely flat, complementing the flat back of the phone. This seems unlikely, but it would require a slightly thicker phone to compensate. However, some would argue that this would not be a bad thing, as it would give more room for the battery.

Finally, the video includes a USB-C charging port instead of Lightning. This is something that could eventually be forced on Apple, at least in Europe, if the EU Commission's plan is put into action.

So how likely are these design tweaks, and how likely are they for the iPhone 14 Pro, the prolific leaker who leaked alleged plans to remove the notch and flatten the camera array in 2022, just days before the iPhone 13 launch, Jon by Prosser, at least two of which are expected. However, there is no mention of Touch ID, and he has stated that the Lightning port is not going anywhere.

However, even these two predictions are specifically for the iPhone 14 Pro, and another leaker - @PandaIsBald - says it is "unlikely" that Apple will get rid of the notch entirely. Prosser agrees with this analysis, stating on Twitter: "I believe the regular model will still use the notch.

In other words, we are going to go back to the days of the two-layer iPhone design. We have become quite accustomed to the idea that the regular and Pro iPhones should look similar, but it hasn't always been this way. iPhone X and iPhone 8 were announced at the same event in 2017.
