Red Sox vs Rays Live Stream is here: How to Watch ALDS Game 1 online

Tonight, the Red Sox vs. Rays live stream finds the BoSox traveling to Tampa to challenge the A.L. East champs. Boston is looking to build off their 6-2 Wild Card win against the Yankees, while the Rays look to this MLB live stream as their first step towards back-to-back World Series appearances.

The Red Sox (92-70) enter this series after eliminating the Yankees in a one-game Wild Card playoff. Boston's bats, namely Xander Bogaerts and Kyle Schwarber, did a great job of chasing Gerrit Cole in the third inning of Tuesday night's game. Bogaerts hit a two-run homer in the first inning, followed by Schwarber's solo shot in the third. The Sox scored three runs on four hits and two walks during the six outs Cole recorded, while J.D. Martinez, who was left off the wild card roster with the Yankees due to an ankle injury, was put back on the roster.

The Rays (100-62) defeated the Sox 11-10 in the regular season series, and Tampa's nine wins came after the All-Star break. The Rays were led this year by second baseman Brandon Lowe, who hit 39 home runs while batting .247. Lowe's best numbers of the year, however, were recorded against Boston, where he batted .290 with five home runs and a .459 on-base percentage.

Tampa sent lefty Shane McClanahan to start Game 1, and Boston waited until the last minute to start. McClanahan, who pitched in four postseason games last year, was playing his first full season in the Bigs this year. The 24-year-old went 10-6 in 25 starts, posting a 3.43 ERA over the course of the season. In two games against Boston this season, he was 1-1 with a 2.81 goals-against average.

After the Red Sox won the World Series in 2018, they missed the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, and the Rays are looking to return to the World Series for the second time in two years and third time since 2008.
