Windows11 popup warns of possible damage to unsupported Pc

Windows 11 has officially been released. To see what's new, read our review of Windows 11. The most notable thing about this update is that it will only be supported on PCs that meet Microsoft's strict requirements; Microsoft has previously warned that if you install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, you do so at your own risk and you will It warns that you will miss out on Windows 11 updates.

Microsoft has made its message even more blunt: TechRadar reports that the Redmond-based software giant has announced that if users decide to install the update on unsupported hardware, what might happen turned into a Windows 11 pop-up warning detailing what will happen. It also reiterates that the operating system will not be updated.

The pop-up warns of possible compatibility issues with older hardware and that Windows 11 will not receive updates for such devices. The warning also says that potential damage to the PC is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Windows Latest reports that Microsoft's support documentation states, "Your device may malfunction due to these compatibility or other issues. Devices that do not meet these system requirements will no longer be guaranteed to receive updates, including but not limited to security updates." The company warns that.

There are ways to circumvent Windows 11 requirements, particularly TPM 2.0 support. However, we strongly recommend that you do not install or update Windows 11 if your PC does not meet the requirements.

As mentioned during our review of Windows 11, there is no need to update at this time. My own extensive hands-on with Windows 11 on a Surface Pro 8 certainly led me to that decision; Windows 11 provides a smooth experience, but it is not a revolutionary leap forward.

Being an early adopter is fun, but there is no need to risk a PC for something that is not completely necessary at this point. Better to stick with Windows 10 until we get hardware that supports the new operating system.
