iOS 15 has already introduced its fair share of bugs, including breaking AirPods, blocking some Siri features, and draining the iPhone battery through Spotify. Another bug will be added to that list.

According to a number of complaints posted on Twitter (via MacRumors), the bug could delete some of the photos saved through the Messages app in iOS 15. Basically, if a user saves a photo from an iMessage thread and then deletes the thread, the saved photo will disappear from the Photo Library the next time the device performs an iCloud backup.

We have also tried this bug when saving photos from an iMessage thread. Furthermore, saving a photo before the iMessage thread is deleted does not prevent it from disappearing later, as the bug still links the photo to the Messages app after a while.

The bug also appears to have the potential to occur multiple times, with one Twitter user who installed the iOS 15.1 beta version claiming that multiple images were deleted from his library.

Compared to other iOS 15-related bugs and iPhone 13 issues, this may be one of the most annoying problems because most users have the iCloud backup feature automatically enabled. As a result, unless backups are disabled, photos may continue to disappear without the user being aware of the problem.

According to MacRumors, this issue has not yet been addressed in the latest iOS 15 beta.

If you have already installed iOS 15 and want to see this bug for yourself, here are the steps:

1. open an iMessage conversation/thread. Save the photo to your camera roll. 3. Delete the thread in which you saved the photo. 4. Open Settings and manually run iCloud Backup if it is not running automatically. The photo should now disappear from your Photo Library

Therefore, until Apple fixes this issue, please keep the iMessages thread after saving the photo or open "Settings" and make sure automatic iCloud backup is disabled! .
