Google Pixel6 and Pixel6Pro prices just flipped - and that's good news

There is good news for those who are interested in getting a Google Pixel 6. This is because the price in the U.S. may have been leaked.

According to Twitter leaker Yogesh Brar, the Pixel 6 will start at just $749. This is no small amount of money, but still cheaper than the $799 iPhone 13. The Pixel 6 Pro, on the other hand, may be more expensive at $1,049 or $1,099. iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at $1,099.

Considering that the Pixel 5 launched last year with a starting price of $699, this new rumor represents a $50 price increase, not a huge price to pay considering how unattractive the Pixel 5 was compared to the Pixel 6 rumor.

This price is also roughly the same as the Pixel 6's rumored European price. This model is rumored to cost €649, which translates to $750. Similarly, the €899 price rumored for the Pixel 6 Pro would be $1,040, which is not far off from Yogesh's speculated price for the Pixel 6 Pro.

It is not certain who Yogesh's sources are or if their information is true; the Pixel 6 series is likely to be quite expensive, but whatever happens, it seems unlikely that you will have to pay a tremendous amount to get one of Google's latest flagships.

According to previous rumors, the Pixel 6 will feature a 6.4-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 8GB of AM, and a 4,614mAh battery. It will also feature a dual-lens rear camera with a 50MP wide lens and 12MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP selfie cam. We caught a glimpse of this array when we went to Google's New York sales office to see the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro on display; we posted a few clips on Tom's Guide's TikTok account:

Meanwhile, the Pixel 6 Pro will feature a 120Hz refresh rate, a larger 6.71-inch display, 12GB of RAM, a 5,000mAh battery, a 12MP selfie cam, up to 512GB of storage, a 50MP main lens, 48MP telephoto lens, and 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. It is said to have a triple-lens rear camera.

Both models will also feature Google's first in-house chipset called Tensor. This will allow Google to better optimize the performance of the phone's chips like Apple, as well as enhance AI and machine learning capabilities for computational photography.

Current rumors suggest that Google plans to announce the Pixel 6 series on October 19 with a release date of October 27. If that is the case, we only have a few more weeks to find out exactly what Google is planning.
