Polestar will have 2 more Evs by 2024, including 3 Suvs

Polestar is already a well-established name, already producing one of the best electric cars, the Polestar 2. But the Volvo sub-brand does not intend to stop there. In fact, by 2024 there will be three different Polestars, including two different SUVs.

The Polestar 3 SUV was already announced in June and will go into production next year. But it will be joined by the Paulstar 4, an affordable mid-size SUV, and the Paulstar 5, a production version of the previously unveiled Precept Grand Tourer.

According to Paulstar boss Thomas Ingenlath, the crucial difference between the Paulstar 3 and 4 will be the price. According to what we have previously heard, the Polestar 3 is a 75,000 euro ($87,612) SUV made for the U.S. market. According to Ingenlus, it will be similar in size to the Volvo XC90, but will have a very different shape, with an emphasis on aerodynamics and power.

The Polestar 4, on the other hand, will be a slightly smaller vehicle. However, Paulstar "will not compromise much on interior length," Ingenlath said.

"Price-wise, at some point it will reach 45,000 euros (about $52,567).

However, both cars will run on the same Polestar drivetrain and promise to be "very powerful." How powerful is unknown, but the dual-motor variant of the Polestar 2 handles 402 bhp and can go from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. We expect to see something similar.

The differences between the Paulstar 3 and 4 seem similar to the differences between the Tesla Model X and Model Y. The Paulstar 3 is a small car, with a small body, and the Paulstar 4 is a large car, with a small body, with a small body. However, their smaller bodies retain the roomy interior and cargo space one would expect from that type of vehicle.

In the case of the Polestar, however, Ingenlus states that the Polestar 4 will function as the SUV equivalent of the Polestar 2. Autocar speculates that this means it will be similar in size to the Volvo C40 Recharge.

Not much is known about the Polestar 5 except that it is based on Volvo's grand tourer, the Precept, and is expected to arrive in 2024. The Precept was built with a more sustainable approach, using flax-based composites instead of plastic, recycled plastic bottles and cork vinyl, and reclaimed fishing nets.
