Sex Education Season 4 Confirmed — Everything We Know So Far

Love is not dead in Season 4 of "Sex Education," Netflix announced at last weekend's TUDUM event that cast members Ncuti Gatwa (Eric) and Kedar Williams-Stirling (Jackson) have announced that the British ordered a sequel to the comedy.

Season 3 was just released on September 17, but Netflix wasted no time in renewing this popular series. The finale ended with quite a few hanging threads. Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) ended his love affair with Ruby (Mimi Keane) and finally confessed to Maeve (Emma McKee). However, a new obstacle looms over their relationship: Maeve is studying abroad in the United States.

As a result of a protest against head teacher Hope Haddon (Jemima Kirk), Moodale High is shut down, and the students' lives are changed forever. Where will Otis and his friends go in their final year?

What we know so far about "Sex Education" Season 4 is as follows.

Netflix confirmed the renewal of "Sex Education" Season 4 during the TUDUM Global Event on September 25. The announcement video is below:

The release date for Sex Education Season 4 is likely to be in late 2022. The series is scheduled for one season per year. Season 1 will drop in January 2019, Season 2 in January 2020, and Season 3 will debut in September 2021 due to production delays caused by the pandemic.

We speculate that the release date for Season 4 of "Sex Education" will be about a year later, i.e., in the fall of 2022.

The cast for "Sex Education" Season 4 has not yet been finalized, but we expect all the major players to return. Asa Butterfield as Otis Milburn and Gillian Anderson as his mother, Dr. Jean F. Milburn, are the first two.

Other cast members likely to return include:

Before we get into the storyline of "Sex Education" season 4, let's look back at the conclusion of season 3.

Otis and Maeve finally admitted their feelings for each other, but their budding relationship was put on hold when Maeve left to study in the United States for several months.

Jean gave birth to baby Joy, but after the shocking results of the paternity test, she, Otis, Ora, and Jacob may not be a happy extended family. After all, Jacob may not have been the father!

After attempting a formal relationship, Eric broke up with Adam, who had cheated on him during a trip to Nigeria. Adam was ready to forgive him, but Eric did not want to be tied down.

And in the biggest development of all, the students' protest against Headmistress Hope was successful, and she was fired, only to learn that Moondale investors had sold the school.

In Season 4 of Sex Education, a new school must be found, which is especially troubling for Otis and his students, who are entering their final year of school.

Also to be expected is what will happen to Otis and Maeve's relationship while they are studying in the United States. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see what happens to Jean and Jacob and their co-parenting partnership once the results of the paternity test are revealed.

With Eric's breakup with Adam, it appears that Adam will end up with Eric's other ex-girlfriend, Rahim. Love triangle alert! And a friendship is developing between Cal and Layla, who are also non-binary. Could it develop into romance?
