Star Trek Discovery Season 4 Trailer, Release Date, Cast, and more

"Star Trek Discovery" Season 4 will air soon. The show, which rebooted the Star Trek series on television, is still going strong and airs on Paramount Plus. [This new season continues the adventures of the Discovery as it travels more than 900 years into the future." After the galaxy-wide cataclysm known as the "Burn," the Federation is in ruins and Starfleet is a shadow of its former self.

No one could have predicted what caused the "Burn," but the crew of the Discovery helped figure it out. Moreover, in the process, they discovered a source of dilithium fuel sufficient to power the galaxy's warp drive for several years. As a result, Michael Burnham finally sat in the captain's chair.

Here's everything we know about the fifth season of "Star Trek Discovery," including cast, plot, and release date.

As part of the September 8 "Star Trek Day" celebration, Paramount announced that Discovery will return on November 18 in the U.S. Since CBS All Access was rebranded to Paramount Plus earlier this year, Discovery's home in the U.S. The company will become the U.S. home of Discovery.

Overseas (except Canada), Netflix has the rights to Discovery, and new episodes are typically released within 24 hours of its U.S. debut. Canadians can watch new episodes on CTV's Sci-Fi channel, and in the past new episodes have aired the same day as in the US.

The Discovery has amassed quite a large cast over the years, including a handful of additions after the crew jumps into the future. However, we do know that all of the major characters from previous seasons will appear, including former captain Sal, who was seen leaving the ship in the third season finale.

Ian Alexander has also confirmed that his character Trill Gray will have a larger presence in the upcoming storyline, even though he is officially dead and only seen with his partner Adira.

Finally, Kenneth Mitchell, who played a variety of different characters in the first three seasons of "Discovery," is confirmed to be returning in an entirely new role. However, the role will be, in his words, "unique," given that he is limited in his ability to move and speak due to the effects of ALS. Mitchell played Aurelio, a scientist in the Emerald Chain trying to unravel the secrets of Discovery's spore drive, who survived season 3 unscathed.

Book's cat, Grudge, also returns.

Star Trek Day 2021 did not bring a new Discovery trailer, but we did get our first look at the fourth season in April.

The trailer reveals that the stakes are (again) pretty high this season, and shows off some familiar faces returning to the final frontier.

While there is still much to be learned about Discovery's fourth season, the trailer reveals that the crew's high-octane antics never seem to end. This season focuses on a sort of gravitational anomaly in space that seems to have the ability to wreak all sorts of havoc.

It is also quite large, with a width of five light years, and could even be big enough to kill a planet if it gets caught in the wrong place.

Unfortunately, this is all we know about the season's plot, and there is not much we can speculate on. Nevertheless, it is likely that there will be more of the action that the Discovery has always emphasized, and there is no doubt that Burnham will clash with his superiors several times, as he always does.
