iOS 15 just came out on iPhones this past Monday (September 20), but Apple already has an update ready. And this version may make it easier for you to show the world that you have been vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.

iOS 15.1, currently in beta, will introduce changes that will allow you to show your wallet a verifiable vaccination card. This is becoming an especially necessary feature as the country reopens after various blockades and as some venues and businesses begin requiring proof of immunization.

iOS 15 already allows you to download and securely store your health records using the Health app. iOS 15.1 updates its immunization information in the Wallet app for those times when you need to present proof of COVID immunization sounds as if you will be able to include .

Testing the new features of the vaccination card is difficult. This is because it is partially up to individual states and countries to add support for digital displays of verifiable vaccination cards. This seems similar to another new feature in the iOS 15 Wallet, the ability to digitally store and display state-issued driver's licenses and ID cards. A beta version of iOS 15.1 is available to both developers and public beta program participants. While support for verifiable vaccine cards is the centerpiece of this update, it is not the only major change made in iOS 15.

For example, the iOS 15.1 beta brings back the SharePlay feature that Apple removed from the previous iOS 15 beta. The feature, which allows users to watch videos, listen to music, and share their screen with other participants in a FaceTime call, did not debut in the full release of iOS 15, but Apple has said it will appear in a future update. sharePlay's return to iOS 15.1 means we can expect its will stir speculation that we won't have to wait long until the feature is ready for prime time.
