Everyone is eagerly awaiting "Sexy Beast" Season 2. One of the more unconventional reality series recently released, "Sexy Beasts" has been a strange yet unsurprising hit for Netflix.

The dating show allows viewers to determine true compatibility regardless of appearance, as contestants compete by wearing very realistic animal costumes and hiding their faces. That premise alone is enough to draw viewers in, but thankfully, there is much more to see.

Netflix renewed "Sexy Beasts," based on Lion TV's 2014 original British series on BBC Three, for season two before the first season premiered on the streaming platform.

Netflix announced in a press email that Season 2 of "Sexy Beast" will premiere on October 7, 2021.

The first season of Sexy Beasts had six episodes, and the second season will follow suit; Netflix revealed that Season 2 of Sexy Beasts will also consist of six episodes, with each episode being approximately 30 minutes long.

A shorter season means fewer episodes for viewers to devour, but it also means that production will be sped up and there will be less space between new seasons.

The first season of Sexy Beasts was narrated by actor and comedian Rob Delaney, who will return for season two. He's hilarious, so that's great news!

As for the contestants, it is unclear who Dater will be, whether the costumes used in season one (scarecrow, bull, aardvark, hammerhead shark, wolf, cheetah, etc.) will be used in season two, or whether the showrunners will come up with something completely new and different.

Given the sheer variety used in the first installment, one would have to be exceptionally creative to come up with an entirely new idea that has not yet been used. Season 2 of "Sexy Beasts" would not have been as exciting if the masks had been familiar.

Again, there is no concrete information yet on whether "Sexy Beasts" Season 2 has actually begun filming, but if the episodes are scheduled to premiere later this year, production could be well underway. In fact, it may be nearing completion.

Although not an official source, The Cinemaholic claims that filming for the second season has already been completed ahead of the year-end release date. This has not been confirmed by Netflix or official sources, but is quite plausible.

It is safe to assume that the concept of Sexy Beasts Season 2 is exactly the same as the first film.

Contestants go on a series of blind dates in full costume and get to know their partners based on personality and character alone. Only when they meet someone with whom they truly hit it off are the two unmasked. This hilarious and sometimes surprisingly heartwarming format really works well, and it would be nice to see it play out again next season.
