While rumors continue to circulate that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus will literally be downgraded when it arrives next year, a new report makes up for the slightly smaller display by significantly enhancing the device's camera to combat the new iPhone 13 Pro The report suggests the possibility of.

According to SlashGear, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus will feature a 10MP front hole punch camera while the back camera array will be upgraded to a 50MP ISOCEIL GN5 main sensor. 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera will also return but the telephoto camera will be upgraded to a 10MP sensor with 3x optical zoom.

In comparison, the iPhone 13 Pro has a 12MP camera on the front and three 12MP cameras on the back. Of course, resolution is only one factor, and the new iPhones offer great image quality and features like cinematic mode and photographic style, but the S22 is a welcome upgrade.

These Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus camera upgrades will likely be included in the Samsung Galaxy S22 as well. If true, this upgraded camera suite should help soften the blow of Samsung's new ISOCELL camera not making it to the Samsung Galaxy S22 series.

Multiple sources report that the larger version of Samsung's next flagship will feature a 6.5-inch display, compared to the 6.7-inch screen of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus. The base Samsung Galaxy S22 will also reportedly feature a smaller 6.06-inch display, compared to the 6.2-inch display of the Samsung Galaxy S21.

The slightly smaller display is not the only change expected in the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus. The smartphone will reportedly feature a 4,500 mAh battery, which is a drop from the 4,800 mAh battery found in the previous model. This downgrade will also be reflected in the base Samsung Galaxy S22, which will drop from 3,880 mAh to 3,590 mAh.

According to reports, the new S22 phone will feature a more powerful Snapdragon 895 chipset and an under-display camera (like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3), helping to create a series of phones that can compete with the iPhone 13 and Google Pixel 6 Potential. However, the S22's under-display camera has been rumored to be controversial.
